Sarah & Jesse
There is something very special about weddings where everyone is truly present. Not because they are big or full of traditions, but because every person there has a reason to be there. Every hug, every conversation, and every small gesture feels genuine. Sarah and Jesse chose to celebrate their marriage surrounded only by the people closest to them. Their family wasn't large, but every person had an important place in their story. Their daughters, parents, siblings, aunt, and a few dear friends came together to celebrate not only their wedding in Tuscany, but also everything that had brought them to this moment.
Instead of coming to Tuscany just for the wedding, they rented Villa Le Ginepraie for an entire week. By the time the celebration arrived, everyone already felt at home. They had time to enjoy slow mornings, share meals, and thoughtfully prepare each part of the day. Together, they decided where the ceremony would take place, the best time for the light, how they wanted the aperitivo to feel, and all the little details that mattered to them. When the wedding day finally came, nothing felt rushed. Everything simply flowed.
One of my favorite parts happened before the ceremony even started. The women got ready together, and it didn't feel like a scheduled bridal preparation. It felt like family. Someone helped with the hair, someone adjusted the dress, another helped with the shoes. There was no pressure, only people naturally taking care of each other. These are the moments I love documenting as a Tuscany wedding photographer, because they cannot be planned. They happen when people feel comfortable, connected, and completely present.
The speeches became one of the most meaningful parts of the celebration. They weren't perfect or rehearsed. They were honest. Full of memories, gratitude, laughter, and the kind of emotion that comes from people who have shared life together for many years. Listening to those stories, I understood even more why the entire day felt so peaceful. Sarah and Jesse have a kind of relationship that feels easy and natural.
I often think that love becomes even more beautiful when it feels light. Not because life has always been easy, but because two people choose to build something peaceful together. Sarah and Jesse gave me exactly that feeling. Their connection feels calm, respectful, joyful, and full of kindness. Watching them surrounded by the people who love them most was a beautiful reminder that love doesn't have to be complicated to be meaningful.
As the sun began to set, everyone gathered for dinner around freshly made wood-fired pizzas, prepared by the villa’s own pizzaiolo. After a week spent sharing this place together, ending the celebration with such a simple and authentic Italian experience felt just right.
I feel especially grateful for celebrations like this one, intimate weddings where the people, the emotions, and the relationships become the heart of the story. These are the moments that remind me why I love photographing weddings in Tuscany.
My wish for Sarah and Jesse is simple: that life continues to bring them days that feel just like this one. Full of ease, connection, good people around them, and a love that always feels light.
