Some moments just feel meant to be. This was one of those days.
Despite the forecast, despite the steady rain falling over Florence, this Tuscany elopement was destined to happen, right there, in that very place, at that perfect hour. The Piazzale Michelangelo, usually filled with tourists, was entirely ours, a quiet, intimate space just for them. It felt like the world had paused, giving this couple the most beautiful and personal moment. s a photographer in Florence, experiences like this are what make my work so meaningful.
Even though it rained heavily, we made the most of every drop. The umbrellas, which at first seemed like a simple necessity, quickly became part of the fun. Together, we laughed and ran through the rain, and they embraced the magic of it all together, fully present, unbothered by the weather.
The vows, exchanged with heartfelt words and teary eyes, felt even more powerful under the rain. It was a moment of pure connection, unfiltered and raw. An intimate, rainy elopement in Florence to remember.
It was an elopement full of blessings, laughter, and so much love. The rain didn’t take away from their happiness, it actually made the day more memorable. In the end, it was not just about the rain, the location, or the time; it was about two people,choosing each other, committing to forever, no matter what. I couldn't feel more grateful to have captured such a beautiful, intimate moment in one of the most romantic cities in the world.
